Teresa is a Kentucky born Artist working in different mediums. Following a career as an Administrator in the performing arts at Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Virginia Stage Company, and the Louisville Ballet. She then earned her BFA from the University of Louisville. For the last 20 years she has followed her circuitous path of interests in either sculpture, ceramics, or her most prolific oil painting.

If you look closely at Teresa’s body of work you will see an underlying theme of her connection to the land as well as the human form. Throughout the years she has gravitated to places and projects that she is emotionally connected to, undeniably bringing out her best work.

Her children and grandchildren are all now residing in California, so she splits her time between Louisville, Kentucky, and Brisbane, California. Her sense of community that she has nurtured in Louisville drew her to seek out an artist community in Brisbane as well. That sense of artist collaboration and thought sharing spurs Teresa on to keep creating and expressing herself through her art.

Teresa’s attempts to draw the viewer in by creating a space either on canvas or in sculpture that will resonate on a personal level with each viewer. For her making Art that speaks not only to the viewer but also embraces her life experiences with people and places that mean so much to her is her greatest joy.
